How we use your data
We use the information you enter about your winch and the physical situation in which your vehicle is located to calculate the estimated recovery load involved in extracting the vehicle from its situation. Details about your winch, if any, are stored in non-volatile memory on your mobile device for your convenience. It is not necessary for you to enter this information in order to use the app, however if you choose not to its usefulness may be limited. Details about your vehicle's physical situation are stored in memory on your mobile device and are erased when you close the app.
Data outlined above regarding advertising is stored and used by third-party advertising and technology companies to show you advertisements that might reflect your interests, search history etc. Revenue earned from these advertisements helps to defray the costs to us of providing the app, our website and the services and products we offer at low or no cost to users. We use functionality provided by Google to serve advertising. Google has their own Privacy Policy about handling data, which you can read here. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for that content, privacy policy or practices. You can control and withdraw your consent to this targeted advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings.
