Recovery Load Calculator is a tool for four-wheel-drivers and others who might find their vehicle in a situation where the available engine power and traction isn't sufficient to overcome that situation - that is, they are stuck! For example, you might be bogged in mud or sand, just on a slippery track, or unable to overcome a rock step.
You select or enter some details about the situation your vehicle is in, and optionally details about your power winch, and the Recovery Load Calculator will calculate the approximate total recovery load involved in extricating the vehicle from its predicament. If you've entered details about your power winch, it'll also indicate whether that estimated load is within the rated limits for each layer of cable or rope on the winch drum.
It uses industry-standard algorithms in the calculation process, and assumes your equipment is in good condition and working order.
