This Privacy Policy relates to our Recovery Load Calculator app.
Information we collect
In order to use the functionality of the app you need to enter the weight of the vehicle and some information about the situation in which it is located. You can optionally enter basic information about your power winch, if equipped, such as its model name, maximum capacity and rated pull per layer of cable or rope on the winch drum. This information is stored locally on your device for your convenience when the app is needed to be run again.
When you use the app it may access built-in sensors within your device, if equipped, to determine the angle represented by the long edge of the device to the horizontal, for the purposes of the calculation. This information is stored in memory only whilst the app is running, and not stored between runs.
We do not collect any personal information about you, your device, your location or your usage of the app. Some information may be collected by Google, which is controlled by their Privacy Policy which you can read here. Anonymised data may be made available to us by Google to facilitate product enhancement, localisation, bug reports and user feedback.
If you contact us directly via email or though our website via either a contact form or our support system we may collect your name and email address for the purposes of responding to your message, and this data may be retained for that purpose. If you use our support ticketing system you may create an account with a username and password.
Who we share your data with
We do not disclose, sell or share personal data with any other organisation, unless required to by law.
How long we retain your data
The configuration data stored locally on your device is retained whilstever the app remains installed. If you uninstall the app, your data is deleted.
If you have contacted us directly either via email or through a contact form or our support ticketing system, we may have retained your email address and name as supplied, for the purposes of tracking and responding to your communications. You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

The app may contain links to websites not controlled by Software From Davoweb.
